The day started with Rebecca and the girls. They were super organized and ready when I arrived which is generally unexpected so it was a nice surprise and a great start. Having photographed John & Rebecca’s engagement session a couple of months prior I was super excited about capturing their wedding day and they were rock stars to say the least! Being a winter wedding (June) you never quite know what the weather gods have in store but it was to be a stunning winters day. Their ceremony and reception was held at Kumeu Valley Estate and what a beautiful venue. After the ceremony and family pics we headed for Woodhill forest where we captured some gorgeous images of everyone. We then sent the bridal party back to Kemeu Valley Estate and I took John & Rebecca to Murawai Beach as the sun set. What a magic moment that was. I’m quite certain we were the only people on the beach and it really was a time to reflect on what a wonderful day we had all had and experienced. Back to reception and I stayed on until the first dance which was best described as epic. Thank you both for including me in this special time of your lives:)

Both Jon & Christine are from the UK and have fallen in love with our beautiful country and in particular West Auckland and the bush and beaches. So along with their kiwi friends present on the day there was family from both sides that traveled long and far to witness this very special day. A great opportunity to travel to our beautiful country for a stunning wedding and where better to have it than Landsendt which for those of you whom are unfamiliar with is a tropical garden wedding venue set in the heart of Oratia. It is a beautiful setting and we all met up at Landsendt and created a “first look” for Jon and Christine as they had their location photos prior to their ceremony. So we wandered around Landsendt’s grounds capturing beauty and having a great time. It was special day and I was very privileged to have had this opportunity to capture your wedding day:)
What a stunning day we had for Christine & Ivan’s wedding day. It started with capturing Ivan and his groomsmen at his parents home and what a beautiful home they have. Ivan’s son was definitely taking the limelight early on and was adorable and so willing to be in front of the camera. It was great to meet Ivan’s lovely parents and his wonderful groomsmen and brother. Then I headed off to Sky City Grande hotel for getting ready shots of Christine and her bridesmaids. It’s always a treat when family is included in the bridal parties because I find there is a sense of calm and great support from family members. It was a church wedding in a Serbian Orthodox church is Pt Chev. So culturally the service was quite different from any other I have experienced hence I needed to keep on my toes to make sure I captured all the important pieces of the ceremony. We then headed to Simunovish Olive Estate for their bridal party photos and reception. It was a stunning day and such a heart felt couple and it really was a privilege to be able to be your photographer on such a special day:)
Bonnie & Gareth were married on a beautiful sunny day. Gareth was getting ready with his groomsmen at his parents home. A home that was home when he was young boy and it was great to incorporate this into their day. Bonnie and her bridesmaids were getting ready around the corner from my studio in their home. Everyone was very relaxed and we let things unfold and set the tempo for the rest of the day. It really was a privilege to photograph your special day:)
